If you read the news or go on social media, things seem very bleak for LGBTQ+ people. And what better way to counter the hate and misinformation than with a party? A party in an art gallery, that is.
Manchester artist Kitty Aurora is seeking submissions for a pop-up exhibition to be held in Lurid Ultra Hybrid Queer bar within Salford’s Islington Mill on 27 August. You have until 21 August to submit your artwork, in any medium, including performance pieces.
The call for entries is open to anyone who identifies as queer, and artworks need to be on the theme of “What does being queer mean to me?”. Work and enquiries can be sent to hello@kittyaurora.co.uk.
