Patterns for Posts

On this page you will find the design patterns for use on posts with the Content Sidebar layout, but will also adapt to work on full width pages or posts set to wider layouts. These patterns are prefixed with MCS2##

These are design ‘patterns’ that can be inserted into a post to be edited without affecting content elsewhere on the site. These are patterns to assist with writing post content, providing styled blocks for content enhancement and calls to action. They are suggestions for block layouts with placeholder text and images. The intention is to replace this content and maintain the layout and configuration of the blocks. The patterns include layout settings, such as padding and margins, and additional classes match the look and feel of the rest of the site.

In this main content section, you will find examples of the Patterns available to use and edit for post content creation. These patterns will work anywhere in the theme but they have been designed specifically with the content/sidebar layout in mind.

MSC201 Grey Notice Box

A light grey notice box that can be inserted anywhere in the main body of the content. Useful for the top of articles to indicated important information about a particular post.

What it looks like

MSC202 Call to Action

A pattern version of the “reusable” CTA’s available in the Reusable Blocks library. Using the pattern version (prefixed with MSC2 rather than MRB3) allows you to edit the content and create a custom call to action messaging and links, and will stand alone and unaffected if and when a Reusable Block is edited globally.
